Assistant Director, Programme Management Office (Project Development focus)
The Programme Management Office is a unique function of the CEO Office that works closely with the Senior Management team in driving the rhythm of the business. The primary mission of this team is to help the cross divisions come together around a unified strategy to implement the new and complex initiatives to achieve the committed outcomes. You are expected to work across the diverse teams to drive a unified approach in alignment to corporate governance and internal process, and always seeking for continuous operational and business improvement.
Reporting to the Chief of Staff, we are seeking a highly talented individual to provide support to the Senior Management team, work with the teams to achieve the key performance metrics of the Corporation, execute special projects and keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. This position will initially focus on the major project development initiatives with a growing portfolio as the corporation grows and expands. Key responsibilities include:
The Position
- An important partner to the Senior Management team to transform ideas into reality by translating the Corporation’s Vision, Mission and Values into all programme initiatives
- Team up with the initiative leaders and Government stakeholders to enhance the programmes success
- Deliver Programme Management expertise to drive strategic planning, keep members focused and coordinated, ensure integration across the divisions to stay on track of the respective plans and performance indicators.
- Gatekeeper for HKSTP’s Corporate Governance, internal processes and always seeking for continuous procedural improvement and evaluating risks.
- Guide the Corporation’s day-to-day rhythm with sharp leadership and problem-solving skills
- Be a proactive forward thinker always at the forefront and getting hands-on to kick-start new initiatives, perform economic impact analysis, develop business plans, articulate the business justification, lead consultancies and market positioning studies and so on
- Perform any other duties as assigned
The Candidate
- A bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Social Sciences or other related disciplines or equivalnet
- 12 years of experience, preferably in business management, strategic planning as a PMO role and supporting the C-Suite of an MNC
- Prior experience in public organization or with training in Engineering /PMP certification will be a plus
- Exceptional cross-division coordination and communication skills, with self-driven ability to achieve excellent results
- Highly sensitive to macro-economic, social and political environment locally and globally
- High level of maturity and be able to work under pressure and a fast-paced environment
- Strong project management skills and ability to lead multiple high-profile projects under tight schedules
- Manages confidentiality and non-disclosure at all times, without exception
- Great sense of humor and a positive attitude
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including in Putonghua)
