The Position


Reporting to Head of Incubation and Acceleration Programmes, this position will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategy, systems, and processes to empower startups under HKSTP Ideation, Incubation and Acceleration Programmes to run smoothly and successfully. Duties include: 

 

  • Drive operational excellence and enhance customers satisfaction through automation and insight
  • Oversee the overall operation in support of startup ventures such as entrepreneurs, incubatees, acceleratees etc to help them grow according to the agreed milestones  
  • Establish an effective working relationship and liaise internally with Account Managers to develop customised solutions on platform, tools, workflows, business models etc.
  • Monitor the performance and identify opportunities for improvement, focusing on efficiency KPIs, operating procedure simplification, streamlining, and standardization
  • Work closely with different teams to manage the operating budget for budgetary control, management reviews, and reporting to ensure operations are within the established parameters and in compliance with expectations
  • Review operational workflows and procedures in compliance with internal policies and relevant rules and regulations
  • Perform any other duties as assigned

 
The Candidate
 

  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Sciences, Marketing, Engineering or other related disciplines or equivalent; MBA holder specializing in Entrepreneurship, Finance or Marketing would be an advantage
  • 10 years work experience, preferably in startups and technology innovations sector
  • Knowledge of the best practices of business incubation/business accelerators and development principles
  • Prior experience in administering programmes and grants from the Government sources is a plus 
  • Excellent leadership and proven ability to work with all level of stakeholders including senior executives 
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
  • Candidate with less experience but higher qualifications will also be considered
