Assistant Director / Senior Manager, Technical Services (Sustainability)

Reporting to the Director, Technical Services, we are looking for a seasoned leader to lead the Sustainability team and propel HKSTP towards achieving Net Zero mission by 2035.

The Position

• Formulate comprehensive sustainability strategies and actionable plans to achieve Net Zero targets for HKSTP and its community
• Identify Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), actionable items, timeline, budget and resources required for successful implementation of sustainability initiatives
• Establish success criteria and measurement principles to reach the ultimate goals
• Monitor and report on key sustainability metrics in alignment with industry standards and corporation objectives
• Build processes to engage relevant professionals, stakeholders and collaborate with respective teams/divisions to lead and achieve the Net Zero mission
• Research new technological products and services in sustainability, drive their adoption and test the results before widespread use
• Monitor and devise improvement plans to uphold/enhance various ESG ratings
• Perform any other duties as assigned by senior management

The Candidate

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy, Building Services Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability or a related field.  Postgraduate education is preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant post-qualification experience preferably in energy management, carbon advisory, smart building design and green building certification
• Demonstrated track record in managing net zero and carbon neutrality projects
• Higher education or professional qualifications with less experience will also be considered
• Membership of appropriate professional bodies such as HKIE, CIBSE, IMechE or equivalent
• Qualified BEAM Pro / LEED AP certification is essential; additional qualifications such as WELL AP are preferred
• BEAM Plus and LEED working experience using latest schemes for new and existing buildings are highly desirable
• Strong leadership and project management abilities, with a collaborative approach and passion for driving change in sustainability
• A proactive and strategic thinker committed to sustainability and environmental stewardship and a team player who thrives in a dynamic environment
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese, with the ability to engage diverse audiences
• Candidate with less experience will be considered for Senior Manager
