Assistant Manager, Medical Devices
The Position
- Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for a portfolio of medical device companies
- Build strong relationships with founders, entrepreneurs, and key stakeholders, providing support and resources throughout their journey at HKSTP
- Understand the unique needs and challenges of each medical device company and develop tailored strategies to address their specific requirements
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify partnership opportunities that can benefit medical device companies and facilitate their growth
- Work closely with other teams such as the business development team, in attracting high calibre Biomedical companies landing to HKSTP
- Manage the admission applications, technical assessments, due diligence, site selection, grant application support, business engagement etc
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings, workshops, and events to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and networking opportunities
- Perform any ad hoc duties as assigned
The Candidate
- Master’s degree in biotechnology, biomedical or related disciplines
- 5 years experience, preferably in account management, business development, or a related role within the medical device or biotech industry
- Strong understanding of the medical device landscape and emerging technologies in the field
- Knowledge of the Hong Kong business ecosystem, particularly in the medical device sector, is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish credibility with entrepreneurs, founders, and stakeholders in the medical device sector
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented mindset
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Putonghua and Cantonese
- Higher education or professional qualifications with less experience will also be considered
