Assistant Manager/Manager, High Performance Computing, IT Infrastructure

This role is responsible for managing customer projects, providing technical consultancy and supporting AI High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems within Technical Service Team.

 

The Position

  • Analyse, design, install and configure high-performance GPU/HPC platform (NVIDIA) and high-speed fabrics (IB), integrate with enterprise platforms (VMware, Windows Server, Linux) and modern orchestration (Kubernetes)
  • Support deployment, configuration, and provisioning of new AI HPC system solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Evaluate, maintain and upgrade HPC hardware, software and tools, including system monitoring, patching and troubleshooting
  • Manage VMware clusters, Veeam backup solutions and virtual/physical server configurations (Windows/Linux)
  • Oversee server, network, storage and backup policy changes through change request processes, providing status reports to relevant parties
  • Manage vendor relationships and service delivery against SLAs, ensuring compliance and performance
  • Provide technical support for HPC, VMware, Windows, Linux, WAF, AIOps and IT infrastructure; perform additional duties as assigned

 

The Candidate

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information technology or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years in IT infrastructure operations, with at least 3 years leading data center or HPC operations, with relevant certifications (NVIDIA, VMware VCP, CKA) preferred
  • Experience in pre-sales/post-sales technical roles will be an advantage
  • Higher education or professional qualifications with less experience will also be considered
  • Expertise in VMware vSphere/NSX-T, Windows and Linux administration, Docker, and Kubernetes; experience with NVIDIA DGX systems, high-speed networks or Slurm is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, WAF, VPNs, DNS, VLANs, network segmentation, SIEM tools and endpoint security
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
