Responsibilities:

 

Project Planning and Governance

  • Assist the management in overall programming and scheduling of the development and capital works projects of the Hong Kong Science Park
  • Coordinate with the project team leader to plan and schedule the projects with preliminary development programme, and uphold project management frameworks, standards, and methodologies and ensure project execution is delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards
  • Assist in vetting of the programme and schedule submissions prepared by the consultants or contractors

Performance and Risk Management

  • Drive, monitor, and report on project delivery progress throughout all stages of the project lifecycle
  • Identify potential risk and perform ongoing risk assessments to apply proactive risk mitigation and contingency plans to maximize project success
  • Supervise the performance of consultants, resident site staff and contractors
  • Prepare site report in respect of the progress, quality and safety of the projects

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

  • Act as the internal gatekeeper for programme and schedule management, ensuring timely and effective communication of project status across all internal workstreams and stakeholders
  • Liaise and coordinate with government departments, utilities companies, and external contractors or stakeholders
  • Prepare concise project reports, presentations and updates to facilitate alignment and transparency in decision-making

  • Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor

 

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline/qualifications
  • Membership of relevant recognized professional institutions will be an advantage
  • Minimum 8 years’ relevant working experience
  • Experience in managing the programme and schedule of large-scale multi-disciplinary projects and A&A works from inception to completion and handover including claims and EOT assessment, etc.
  • Experience in Schedule Management software such as MS Project, Primavera 6, with a strong knowledge in critical path analysis
  • Experience in development of R&D offices and institutional buildings will be an advantage
  • Knowledge of statutory requirements and procedures for construction project delivery in Hong Kong
  • Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly driven, structured and proactive, with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
