The Position

This position will be responsible for customer project management, technical consultancy, and support for the AI High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems under the HKSTP IT Infrastructure Team. Key duties include: 

 

  • Perform customer project management and enable clients to implement their solutions on the HPC systems
  • Coordinate with internal teams for the provisioning of AI HPC resources to the clients
  • Understand the customers’ needs and provide technical advice to the clients on running their workload on the AI HPC, especially on the performance tuning and software compatibility
  • Demonstrate the HPC showcases to customers for technical pre-sales support
  • Provide technical support and training to users for systems in HPC with best practices
  • Collaborate with the other teams to integrate new technical solutions into the HPC ecosystem
  • Manage the software tools and maintain the software inventory supporting the AI HPC operations
  • Prepare documentation and project planning for the HPC systems  
  • Evaluate new software solution for HPC feature enhancement
  • Assist in the maintenance and upgrade of the HPC on hardware and software
  • Perform any other duties as assigned

 
The Candidate

 

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in computer sciences, Engineering, Information technology or other related disciplines
  • 8 years of work experience in system management, preferably in hardware and software. Experience in both pre-sales and post-sales technical roles will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge and experience in Linux system administration and setting up infrastructure services like KVM, docker and Kubernetes
  • Prior experience in administrating and supporting AI HPC, especially on the NVIDIA DGX system and/or GPU environment, MLOps platform, Slurm, etc.,  is a plus
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
  • Candidates with less qualification but more work experience will also be considered
