Manager, Advanced Digital Infrastructure (ADI)
The Position
This position will be responsible for administering, developing and implementing the AI High Performance Computing (HPC) systems and infrastructures under the HKSTP Advanced Digital Infrastructure (ADI) Technical Service Team. Key duties include:
- Administer and monitor the systems in the ADI Platform, including compute and GPU nodes, storage systems, networking, and supporting services
- Implement and maintain system software, middleware, and application tools to support the environment, including NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD systems
- Automate and streamline management tasks
- Implement customer projects and enable clients to implement their AI solution on ADI and conduct performance-turning
- Provide technical support and training to users for systems with best practices
- Work with different supported parties to analyse system performance metrics and logs to identify and resolve issues
- Collaborate with the other teams to integrate new hardware and software into the ADI ecosystem
- Ensure the security, reliability, and efficiency of the systems in the ADI Platform
- Document processes and procedures for operational and reporting purposes
- Perform any other duties as assigned
The Candidate
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in computer sciences, Engineering, Information technology or other related disciplines
- 8 years of work experience say in system management, preferably in hardware and software
- Higher education or professional qualifications with less experience will also be considered;
- Knowledge and experience in Linux system administration and setting up infrastructure services like KVM, docker and Kubernetes
- Prior experience in administrating and supporting in HPC, especially on the NVIDIA DGX system and/or GPU environment, is a plus
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
- Candidates with less experience will be considered as Engineer
