Manager, Business Solution (App Tech Lead)

The Position

• Lead, mentor and inspire a team of in-house iOS and Android developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement
• Manage the technical development and system design on the backend CMS and APIs to support features of the mobile app
• Consolidate different API communications between mobile applications and various backend gateway parties
• Identify blockers and risks in mobile development and proactively drive resolution with cross-functional teams
• Setup and maintain CI/CD pipeline to streamline development processes
• Discover and evaluate new technologies to support business needs and strategy
• Work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, system analysts and developers to build highly scalable and available products
• Own and manage mobile app lifecycle, from concept to release and ongoing optimisation
• Define and control user requirements, ensuring clarity, feasibility and alignment with business priorities
• Oversee vendor and internal team performance, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes
• Champion agile practices and ensure project milestones are met through effective planning and execution
• Evaluate emerging mobile technologies and trends to inform strategic decisions
• Perform other job duties as assigned

The Candidate

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Software Engineering or related disciplines
• Minimum 8 years of experience in mobile application delivery, product management or project management
• Proven experience in managing mobile app roadmaps and cross-functional teams
• Strong understanding of mobile UX/UI principles and user-centric design
• Strong experience in designing patterns of MVVM and MVC
• Familiar with web / app services / APIs, agile methodologies and mobile development processes
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify blockers and drive resolution
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, detail-oriented and committed to success
• Experience in DevOps, CI/CD deployment and delivering medium-to-high-traffic mobile apps is a plus
• Solid experience in C#, .Net, Node.js programming and frontend programming (e.g. Swift, Kotlin, JavaScript, CSS) is an advantage
• Higher education or professional qualifications with less experience will also be considered
• Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English
