We are looking for a seasoned investment or deal-making professional who thrives at the intersection of capital and cutting-edge technology from early-stage growth all the way to late-stage investment rounds. In this pivotal role, you will act as a trusted advisor to high-potential startups, guiding them through capital raising, sharpening their investability, and deal-matching them with top-tier VC, PE, and corporate investors across Life & Health Technoligy and Deep Tech (AI, Microelectronics, Semiconductors, Advanced Manufacturing, New Materials, Energy).

The Position

• Strategic Deal Matching: Build deep, lasting relationships with investors and HKSTP startups, curating strategic matches based on sector alignment, growth stage, and investment thesis
• Capital Raising & Deal Structuring: Advise founders on fundraising strategies, valuation models, cap table structures, term sheet negotiations, and pitching strategies alongside their professional advisors
• Investor Readiness: Help founders optimize their data rooms, investment decks, financial models, and governance structures to breeze through institutional due diligence
• Transaction Facilitation: Lead deal flow from introduction to close—facilitating pitch meetings, managing due diligence processes, and supporting term-sheet discussions
• Ecosystem Building: Host high-profile, theme-based investor pitching events and continuously introduce new institutional capital to expand HKSTP's global investor network
• Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of macroeconomic shifts, private equity trends, and technical breakthroughs across Deep Tech and Life Sciences to guide internal ecosystem strategy
• Perform other duties as assigned

The Candidate

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Sciences, Biotech, or other related disciplines
• 8 years of progressive experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, corporate venture capital, financial advisory, or corporate development
• Hands-on experience covering at least one key vertical in Healthcare/Life Sciences or Deep Tech (AI, semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, new materials, energy)
• Deep understanding of startup lifecycles, financial analysis, valuation mechanics, term sheet negotiations, and due diligence workflows
• Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts and business models into compelling investment cases for institutional investors
• Uncompromising integrity, strong analytical drive, and a genuine passion for energizing Hong Kong’s innovation landscape
• Fluent in written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
• Higher education or professional qualifications with less experience will also be considered
