The Position

Upholding the commitment to expedite the translation of biomedical technologies, HKSTP have launched the MedTech Co-create Programme (MTCC) to accelerate commercialisation of healthcare innovations through structured co-creation. This appointee will lead the end-to-end implementation of the new pilot funding track and act as the primary orchestrator of partnerships, project execution, funding disbursement, performance monitoring, and cost recovery, while building awareness and refining the pilot for long-term ecosystem impact.

  • Identify, engage, and establish strategic partnerships with corporate partners (hospitals, medical device companies, pharmaceutical firms, and healthcare operators) in Hong Kong, the Greater Bay Area and Asia
  • Conduct needs-assessment workshops and interviews to map corporate partners’ unmet clinical, operational, and commercial priorities
  • Proactively match corporate needs with HKSTP Park companies’ technologies and capabilities to form high-potential co-creation projects
  • Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of approved MTCC projects including panel assessment for funding applications arragnement, regular monitoring of milestones, technical progress, and commercial traction
  • Track and report outcomes spanning technology validation, clinical feedback, IP development and pathway to procurement/commercial deals
  • Manage the MTCC funding pool per HKSTP policies and the cost-recovery framework, including maintaining precise financial records, forecasting recoveries, reporting on fund utilisation and revolving-fund performance, and mitigating risks of project failure or non-recovery
  • Design and execute awareness campaigns (webinars, roadshows, industry forums, and targeted marketing) to attract high-quality corporate partners and Park companies
  • Collect stakeholder feedback on the pilot to support future redesign of HKSTP’s funding schemes toward greater sustainability and performance-driven outcomes
  • Handle other ad hoc tasks as assigned


The Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or other related disciplines
  • 8 years of work experience in healthcare technology, preferably in business development, partnership management, innovation funding, or startup acceleration
  • Proven track record in establishing corporate–startup / industry–academia partnerships, preferably in healthcare sectors
  • Strong understanding of healthcare technology trends, clinical workflows, regulatory pathways (e.g., FDA, NMPA, EU MDR), and healthcare commercialisation challenges
  • Experience in project and financial management, including grant/funding administration and performance tracking, would be preferred
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen with excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
  • Higher education or professional qualifications with less experience will also be considered
