Manager, Startup Programme Management

We are seeking a dynamic Programme Manager to oversee startup ecosystem initiatives, with a focus on account management and startup investments. The ideal candidate will drive the success of our startup programmes while managing relationships with portfolio companies and identifying high-potential investment opportunities.

 
The Position

• Lead the end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of the IncuBio Demo Day, including liaising with incubatees on pitch preparation, curating investor guest lists, managing judging panels, and driving post-event follow-ups
• Oversee the full-cycle SAFE (Simple Agreement for Future Equity) conversion process for incubatees, including coordinating with legal counsel, finance teams, and company secretaries to ensure timely and accurate equity issuance
• Actively support incubatees in closing investment deals by providing commercial guidance, facilitating term sheet negotiations, and bridging communication between founders and potential investors
• Manage the backend operational execution of share conversions, including cap table management, subscription agreement processing, and coordinating for post-conversion filings
• Provide comprehensive account management and operational support for the IncuBio Programme
• Handle other ad-hoc duties as assigned

 
The Candidate

• A bachelor's degree or above in business administraion, finance, life science, biomedical science, biomedical engineering, or other related disciplines, or equivalent
• 8 years of work experience, preferably with a strong blend of biomedical industry exposure (pharma / biopharma / medical devices) and commercial/investment-facing experience
• Proven track record in deal execution, fundraising support, or venture capital operations
• Hands-on experience with SAFE notes, convertible loans, or equity conversion processes is a distinct advantage
• Proactive, outgoing, and positive attitude with the ability to develop effective relationships with founders, investors, and external partners
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility, given the backend financial and legal nature of the share conversion work
• Self-motivated, results-oriented and an excellent team player with outstanding interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, including Mandarin
• Higher education or professional qualifications with less experience will also be considered
