Manager / Senior Manager, Clinical Translational Catalyst
The Position
- Support the management of the Clinical Translational Catalyst initiative which provides funding and regulatory support for biotech companies to catalyze the translation of their pipeline from pre-clinical to clinical stage
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with key stakeholders in the clinical translational path including Principal Investigators for Clinical Studies, Regulatory Professionals, Contract Research Organizations, Contract Manufacturing Organizations, and domain experts focusing in the fields of therapeutics and medical devices
- Implement and organize the overall administrative process for admission, assessment panel meeting and disbursement
- Promote the new HKSTP initiative within and outside of Hong Kong Science Park to attract qualified companies to participate in the initiative
- Interact with partner companies to understand their business/technical requirements and develop effective solutions
- Review and update Standard Operating Procedures, Programme Guide, protocols, flow charts, etc.
- Work collaboratively to drive innovation and collective success across all internal teams
- Handle admission process, account management and engagement of therapeutic companies in HKSTP
- Perform any other duties as assigned
The Candidate
- Master’s degree in Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacy, Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry, Biology, and related clinical science or medicine disciplines or equivalent; with a clinical or PhD degree would be an advantage
- 8 to 10 years of experience, preferably in R&D of therapeutics or medical devices with focus in IND or PMA regulatory submissions (e.g. FDA, NMPA), GMP manufacturing and QC/QA
- Proven record in regulatory submission, clinical trials, marketing approval and licensing of small molecules, biologics, regenerative medicine, gene therapy or medical devices would be a plus
- Good analytical, interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
- Self-driven and work effectively in a highly collaborative environment
- Ability to manage up, down and across different functional teams will be crucial
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Putonghua and Cantonese)
- Higher education or professional qualifications with less experience will also
