Senior Manager, Business Development (Life and Health Technology)

The Position

In view of the rapid expansion and continuous growth of the Corporation, we are looking for a high-calibre candidate to support the Business Development team bringing the top-notch global Innovation and Technology (I&T) companies to set up research and development operation in HKSTP, with a focus on Life and Health Technology.

• Identify, engage and convert target enterprises, start-ups and scale-ups to set up R&D/lab presence at HKSP, with a focus on the Life and Health Technology / Healthcare sector
• Build and maintain senior-level relationship with related government bodies, high-tech companies, startup communities, etc. increase the visibility of HKSTP in the international I&T start-up communities, serve as the eyes, ears and voice of HKSTP
• Closely monitor innovation landscape, policies and public & private funding mechanisms of responsible market segments & Hong Kong
• Organize engagement programs and host delegation visits to promote HKSP as an innovation and technology hub to key stakeholders
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor

The Candidate

• Bachelor's degree preferably in Life Science, Technology or Business Administration
• Minimum 10 years of experience in working preferably with MNCs, I&T start-ups ecosystem, R&D institutes, industry associations, or related. Advanced Degree in Life Science or Healthcare is a plus.
• Higher education or professional qualifications with less experience will also be considered
• Strong sector knowledge of healthcare regulations, funding and market dynamics.
• Proven client acquisition and senior stakeholder management skills.
• Diplomatic, self-initiated, independent, goal-getting, collaborative, customer-oriented
• Professional analytical skills and good command of presentation skills
• Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua). Proficiency in additional foreign language(s) will be a plus.
• Occasional business travel may be required
• Ability to work and collaborate in team environment
