Senior Manager, Co-Acceleration
HKSTP Co-Acceleration Fund aims to provide support to high-potential startups for their growth and global expansion. We are looking for suitable candidate to invest, nuture and groom the startups in the deep tech domain. Duties include:
The Position
- Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities in deep tech startups (pre-A to B stage) in consideration of their market potential, technological innovation, and growth prospects
- Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investments including financial analysis, market research and technology assessments
- Manage and oversee the deep tech startups such as designing and implementing tailored strategies, coordinating with mentors and industry partners, and the smooth execution
- Provide valuable insights, guidance, and mentorship to help startups navigate the challenges and opportunities in their industry
- Partner with a diverse range of internal and external parties such as universities, government, and corporates, to work towards a common goal
- Develop success stories and case studies that showcase the value created for the startups
- Perform any other duties as assigned
The Candidate
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, or other related disciplines
- 10 years work experience, preferably in deep tech investment, venture capital, or startup ecosystem
- Higher education or professional qualifications with less experience will also be considered
- Existing SFC type 9 licensed representative or registered officer is preferred but not a must
- Strong understanding of emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, connectivity, sustainability, IoT, robotics, etc.
- Demonstrated experience in deal sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio management
- Industry-specific knowledge and experience in evaluating startups
- Ability to assess market trends, competitive landscape, and growth potential within the specific industry
- Good team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to work independently and meet deadlines under a tight schedule
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese including in Putonghua
