Senior Manager, Medical Devices
The Position
- Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for a portfolio of medical device tech ventures
- Build strong relationships with founders, entrepreneurs, and key stakeholders, providing support and resources throughout their journey at HKSTP
- Understand the unique needs and challenges of each medical device tech venture, and develop tailored strategies to address their specific requirements
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify partnership opportunities that can benefit the medical device tech ventures and facilitate their growth
- Work closely with other teams such as business development team, in attracting high calibre Biomedical companies landing to HKSTP
- Responsible for admission applications, technical assessments, due diligence, site selection, grant application support, business engagement etc
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings, workshops, and events to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and networking opportunities
- Perform any other duties as assigned
The Candidate
- Post-graduate Degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or any engineering- or Science-related subjects; PhD or MBA is preferred.
- Extensive network with academia, high-tech companies, industries, startup communities, investors, government and regulatory bodies
- Proven experience in account management, business development, or a related role, preferably within the medical device or biotech industry
- Strong understanding of the medical device landscape and emerging technologies in the field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish credibility with entrepreneurs, founders, and stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented mindset
- Good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
