Senior Manager, Medical Diagnostics

The Position

• Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for a portfolio of diagnostics/medical AI startups
• Build strong relationships with founders, entrepreneurs, and key stakeholders, providing support and resources throughout their journey at HKSTP
• Understand the unique needs and challenges of each diagnostics/medical AI startup, and develop tailored strategies to address their specific requirements
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify partnership opportunities that can benefit the diagnostics/medical AI startups and facilitate their growth
• Identify and source potential diagnostics companies, both locally and internationally that align with the strategic goals and focus areas of HKSTP
• Work closely with other teams such as business development team, in attracting high calibre Biomedical companies landing to HKSTP
• Responsible for admission applications, technical assessments, due diligence, site selection, grant application support, business engagement etc
• Coordinate and facilitate meetings, workshops, and events to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and networking opportunities
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned 

The Candidate

• Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Science, Applied Science/Engineering or other related disciplines or equivalent; A PhD's degree is a plus
• 10 years of work experience, preferably in account management or business development within the diagnostics or biotech industry
• Higher education or professional qualifications with less experience will also be considered
• Strong understanding of the diagnostics landscape and emerging technologies in the field
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish credibility with entrepreneurs, founders, and stakeholders in the diagnostics/medical AI sector
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
• Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented mindset
• Knowledge of the Hong Kong business ecosystem, particularly in the diagnostics/medical AI sector, is highly desirable
• Proficiency in English and Cantonese. Mandarin language is an advantage
