Senior Manager / Manager, University Collaborations and Entrepreneurship

The Position 
 

Reporting to the Team Leader of University Collaborations and Entrepreneurship, the appointee will be tasked with co-developing initiatives alongside local and international universities and incubators. This role involves closely collaborating with these institutions to plan, design, develop, and implement joint programs aimed at building an inbound startup pipeline for the HKSTP ecosystem, as well as supporting the growth and development of startups entering HKSTP. Additionally, he/she will develop new partnerships and managing relationships, ensuring smooth programme execution and operations through collaboration with internal stakeholders.

 

  • Explore and develop non-local / overseas partners to expand co-ideation / co-incubation programmes 
  • Manage and liaise with local and non-local university partners to support student entrepreneurship, startup co-nurturing / co-incubation and research commercialisation
  • Provide account management / servicing supports to startups / teams admitted to the programme 
  • Coordinate with the Ideation Programme team to ensure smooth programme execution and operation 
  • Support landing of non-local startups to HKSTP eco-system
  • Work with both internal and external stakeholders and partners for any potential programme enrichment opportunities 
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

 

The Candidate
 

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Science, Engineering or other related disciplines or equivalent
  • 10 years of work experience, preferably in startup / entrepreneurship / incubation programme management, working experience in Technology Transfer Office or Entrepreneurship Centre under university environment 
  • Drive for innovation, ability to turn ideas into actions and provide comprehensive solutions to develop strategies
  • Strong inclination and understanding of Hong Kong’s innovation and technology development, including both local and global startup ecosystems across various industry verticals
  • Strong leadership and project management skills and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address complex business issues
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese including Catonese and Mandarin
  • Higher education or professional qualifications with less experience will also be considered
