Senior Manager/Manager, Medical Devices

The Position

• Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for a portfolio of medical device tech ventures
• Build strong relationships with founders, entrepreneurs, and key stakeholders, providing support and resources throughout their journey at HKSTP
• Understand the unique needs and challenges of each medical device tech venture, and develop tailored strategies to address their specific requirements
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify partnership opportunities that can benefit the medical device tech ventures and facilitate their growth
• Work closely with other teams such as business development team, in attracting high calibre Biomedical companies landing to HKSTP
• Responsible for admission applications, technical assessments, due diligence, site selection, grant application support, business engagement etc
• Coordinate and facilitate meetings, workshops, and events to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and networking opportunities
• Perform any other duties as assigned

The Candidate

• Degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or any engineering- or Science-related subjects; PhD or MBA is preferred.
• 8 to 10 years of work experience, preferably in account management, business development, or a related role within the medical device or biotech industry
• Extensive network with academia, high-tech companies, industries, startup communities, investors, government and regulatory bodies
• Strong understanding of the medical device landscape and emerging technologies in the field
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish credibility with entrepreneurs, founders, and stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
• Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented mindset
• Good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
• Higher education or professional qualifications with less experience will also be considered
• Candidate with less experience will be considered for lower position.
