Senior Officer / Officer, New Ventures Development

The Position

In view of the rapid expansion and continuous growth of the Corporation, we are looking for a high-calibre candidate to support the New Ventures Development team to identify, create and nurture a strong international technology ecosystem network. The network will serve as an anchor to facilitate bringing more top-notch global Innovation and Technology (I&T) companies to set up research and development operation in HKSTP. 

• Proactively connect, engage and attract international technology ecosystem players - such as Venture Capitals, Accelerators, Government bodies and Tech Associations to identify and build on win-win partnership opportunities. 
• Support to develop content, acquire new members and develop community campaigns for the HKSTP Global Connect Community to enhance customer experience through various touch points online and offline
• Support to build and maintain senior-level relationships with related government bodies, high-tech companies, startup communities, etc. increase the visibility of HKSTP in the international I&T start-up communities, serve as the eyes, ears and voice of HKSTP
• Closely monitor innovation landscape, policies and public & private funding mechanisms of responsible market segments & Hong Kong
• Support engagement programs and host delegation visits to promote HKSTP as an innovation and technology hub to key stakeholders
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)

The Candidate

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably with work experience gained in MNCs, industry associations, or related.
• Minimum 3 years' of work experience with exposure in international partnerships and hosting VIPs preferred.
• Prior exposure in collaborating with internal departments to create pitch decks, marketing sales proposals and market analysis is a plus.
• Diplomatic, self-initiated, independent, goal-getting, collaborative, customer-oriented
• Professional analytical skills and good command of presentation skills
• Ability to work and collaborate in team environment
• Proficient in both written and spoken English
• Strong can-do mind-set & people skills
• Candidates with less experience will be considered for junior posts.
