Senior Project Manager, High Performance Computing
The Position
We are seeking a Senior Manager to lead business development and technical solutions in High Performance Computing (HPC), AI, and Data initiatives. The role focuses on driving revenue growth through innovative HPC and AI infrastructure solutions, developing strategic partnerships with technology providers, and delivering complex technical service to tech ventures and enterprise clients. S/he will be the key responsible person for driving the KPI of HPC revenue and utilization performance, working with the users to capture requirements and work with the technical counterparts to architect scalable GPU-accelerated computing environments, leading technical sales cycles, and building a strong partnerships ecosystem. Key duties include:
- Drive business development for HPC and AI infrastructure solutions, with focus on GPU-accelerated computing platforms
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for HPC and AI solutions, including ROI models and business cases
- Identify and execute promotion opportunities, including training, demos, competition, etc to build up the user base and pipeline
- Work with the HPC technical team to translate these opportunities into application bundled solutions utilizing latest GPU technologies and AI accelerators based on market trends, data team and tech venture user requirements,
- Build strategic partnerships with key technology provider, corporate users/partners and system integration partners
- Lead technical sales cycles for complex HPC and AI infrastructure implementations, including driving the procurement, scope of work, deliverables, timelines and resources, pricing, T&Cs, etc
- Review the performance of GPU-accelerated computing environments and AI/Machine Learning (ML) workloads to ensure that technical support meets the SLA
- Coordinate with the HPC technical team to provide the timely support to evaluate and recommend optimal GPU architectures and computing solutions for different use cases
- Oversee proof-of-concept implementations and technical validation of solutions
- Develop technical content and conduct training sessions on GPU computing and AI infrastructure
- Perform any other duties or special projects as assigned
The Candidate
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in STEM related faculties, not limited to computer science, electrical engineering, or related technical field
- 10 years of experience, preferably in hardware/cloud pre/post-sales customer engagement, technical solution requirement assessment and business development, with focus on Technology Infrastructure
- Proven track record in complex technical sales cycles, building strategic technology partnerships, revenue generation through technical solutions.
- Willing to continuously build knowledge in HPC related courses, e.g. parallel computing and workload scheduling, AI/ML frameworks and their optimization for GPU platforms is preferred
- Technical knowledge on GPU architectures (NVIDIA Ampere, Hopper, CUDA), Multi-GPU systems and distributed computing, InfiniBand networking and high-speed interconnects, Enterprise storage solutions (Lustre, GPFS, NVMe) is an advantage
- Exposure with similar hardware and middleware computing solution and resources (e.g. IBM, HP, Dell, Lenovo, Huawei, etc) is a plus
- Basic understanding in data center infrastructure and power requirements
- Familiar with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their HPC offerings
- Passionate about latest technology trends in computing resource application and Smart Cities applications
- Excellent communication skills for both technical and business audiences
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
- Higher education or professional qualifications with less experience will also be considered
