System Manager, IT Infrastructure

The Position

• Plan and lead technical design, implementation and ongoing management of enterprise IT systems such as servers, storage, backup, performance monitoring and maintenance
• Develop, customize and deploy HKSTP private Large Language models for enterprise AI use cases
• Lead and coordinate with outsourced teams for system support and maintenance
• Act as 3rd-level escalation support from outsourced vendors for complex issues
• Evaluate, implement, monitor and upgrade security measures for new & existing systems
• Oversee the full project lifecycle such as RFP/RFQ preparation, IT solution proposals evaluation from vendors, UAT, deployment and the transition to ongoing support
• Manage external vendors, suppliers and contractors to ensure quality deliverables
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

The Candidate

• Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science or equivalent
• 8+ years relevant working experience in Infrastructure, Azure and Alibaba cloud projects, preferably with solid experience in Project Management of large-scale projects or Technical Leader roles
• Higher education or professional qualifications with less experience will also be considered
• Deep expertise in VMware, SAN storage, Microsoft Servers, Active Directory/Group Policies, Azure, Alibaba Cloud and Microsoft 365 is preferred
• Knowledge in cloud security controls, including tenant isolation, encryption, key management, vulnerability assessment, SIEM, authentication SAML/OAuth, MFA, etc.
• Familiar with best practices in information security and strong experience in vendor management
• PMP, MCSE, CCNP and ITIL certifications would be an advantage
• Excellent people management, interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese
